Manufacturing Heat Shrinkable Fluoropolymer Tubing that conforms to both Military Specs: AMS-DTL-23053/12 and AMS-DTL-23053/11. Heat Shrinkable PTFE 2:1 and 4:1. Heat Shrinkable FEP 1.25:1 , 1.3:1 and 1.6:1 products. Manufactured in the USA.
Heat Shrink FEP Tubing is easier to shrink than PTFE and can withstand temperatures as high as 400°F (204°C). Shrinkable FEP Tubing is supplied in an expanded state to allow easy coverage over instruments such as Thermocouples, Probes, Thermometers, Lighting Fixtures and other delicate electrical instruments where protection is needed. FEP provides a tight seal around components, protecting them from harsh chemical environments. As a protective sleeve, FEP helps eliminates dirt and contamination build up on components.
Tef Cap Industries manufactures both Mil-Spec and Custom Heat Shrink Tubing in FDA and USP Class VI Compliant resins such as FEP, PFA and PTFE.

How Can Fluoropolymer Tubing Improve My Project?
Fluoropolymer tubing provides many benefits that can significantly improve the performance and lifespan of your project. The unique properties of fluoropolymers like FEP and PTFE make them ideal for a wide range of applications requiring enhanced durability, purity, and insulation.
When utilized correctly, fluoropolymer tubing can provide:
- Greatly enhanced chemical resistance compared to other tubing materials, allowing the safe flow of aggressive fluids and gases. Fluoropolymers resist practically all industrial chemicals and solvents.
- Exceptional high-temperature or heat stability, with continuous use ratings up to 400°F for FEP and 500°F for PTFE. This allows higher process temperatures without tubing failure when tubes are shrinkable.
- Increased purity and reduced contamination. Extremely low coefficient of friction and non-stick surface, improving flow rates and preventing material buildup inside the tubing. The self-lubricating effect also reduces particle shedding.
- Increased purity and reduced contamination due to inert fluoropolymer composition. It is ideal for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and other high-purity uses.
- Extended durability and longevity. Long service life and reliability due to high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing thinner walls than other plastic tubing.
- Improved electrical insulation with very high dielectric strength. Useful for electrical wire coatings and insulation.
- Design flexibility with a broad range of sizes, wall thicknesses, and custom extrusion capabilities.
- Compliance with key industry standards like USP Class VI, FDA, ASTM, ISO, and various military specifications.
The unique properties of fluoropolymer tubing make it an ideal upgrade for projects requiring any of these benefits. Tef Cap Industries’ high-quality FEP, PTFE tubing, and corrugated FEP tubing can help take your project to the next level.
