PTFE 2:1 Fractional Heat Shrinkable Tubing possesses excellent characteristics for use in high temperature applications, corrosive environments and as an electrical insulator. PTFE Heat Shrink Tubing offers the ultimate performance with the highest continuous working temperature of all Fluoropolymers. Applications for PTFE Shrink Tubing in Fractional Sizes include insulating, terminating, moisture sealing, splicing, and wire bundling. For larger diameter metal objects it is recommended that you bring the object up to room temperature or better. Failure to do so will cause material to wrinkle and create air gaps between the tubing and subsurface. Rotating the part will also help with a uniform shrink. PTFE Heat Shrink Tubing will tend to split longitudinally if tubing is not allowed to recover to about 75 % of its expanded diameter or if it is over heated during shrinking.
